Six‑Month Degree Sprint — Live Progress

I’m attempting something bold: finishing my Computer Science degree in one WGU term. This live page shows where I stand against the only milestone that matters right now — 111 CUs by Dec 8 to open my capstone (with a one‑week grace window to Dec 15).

How to Read the Chart

Dots mark each passed course (banked credits). Hover for course and date; green dots link to my LinkedIn reflections.
Dashed line shows my 28‑day trend, projected forward; the translucent cone is ±15% to account for variance.
Dotted line is the minimum on‑time path from my last pass to 111 CUs by Dec 8 (capstone start). Staying above it means I’m on or ahead of schedule.

About Me

I started coding as a kid — long before college. My career has been built through skill, persistence, and results, not credentials.

Today, I’m sprinting through a computer science degree in six months. Why? To prove that the knowledge I use every day is legitimate, to fill the few gaps that exist, and to help tear the paper ceiling for others like me — people Skilled Through Alternative Routes (STARs) who deserve to be recognized for what they can do.

This site is my proof: real progress, in real time — with a clear target of 111 by Dec 8 for an on‑time capstone.

Selected Work & Notes

  • MyCREBuddy — Founding Engineer
From zero to production: stood up the initial back‑end/services and the first customer‑facing web app; CI/CD, auth, and observability. Focus on reliability and fast iteration with a tiny team.
  • Home Assistant on Raspberry Pi — Z‑Wave–first Smart Home
Primary Z‑Wave network by design (keeps 2.4 GHz spectrum clear and avoids under‑meshed Zigbee). Non‑Z‑Wave devices are bridged to HomeKit for Siri control. Local‑first automations with presence logic and fail‑safe scenes; controller and network gear are on UPS for resilience during power events.
  • LinkedIn — Daily engineering notes
Short posts on systems thinking, measurement, and delivery throughput. Occasional threads on this velocity model and practical automation. Follow along for build notes and experiments.
